Review of Superman: Doomsday (2007) by Brett W — 18 Nov 2014

Say whatever you want about it, "The Death of Superman" story arc from the 90s has always been one of my favorites. Apparently in 2007, they made a film version of it, which I am kind of surprised that I just now saw 7 years later.

While the film couldn't tell the full 3-year story arc, (they omitted Superboy & Steel), it was still a decent condensation of the story. I like how they parodied the fan reaction to the new Superman suit as well.

The blue and black solar-powered suit that came with Superman's return was immediately lambasted by fans and they had to make a quick retread back to classic red and blue. In the film, immediately following his return, the first question asked is by a kid, "are you going to start wearing the old suit again? I like that one better.
