Review of Superman: Doomsday (2007) by Senthil M — 19 Mar 2008
The movie seems like an extended episode than an actual "complete" film. I was pleasantly surprised by how violent it was, both on a visual and thematic level.
The running time is far too short; the story consequentially feels very rushed and underdeveloped. Character Development does exist, but it does feel superficial at best - you get the feeling that there are more dimensions that can be explored, but the running time prevents the film from exploring them. Flaws aside however, it is still lightyears better than the live-action crap called "Superman Returns" that came out a couple of years ago.
The best DC animated film out there still is "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm", but this one is up there.
