Review of Super Size Me (2004) by Anastasia . — 01 Jan 2014
Morgan Spurlock's famous attack on fast food restaurants with the famous examination of the effects of fast food on the body, and the horrors of the super size meal. With an audacious affront to a multinational giant like McDonalds, Spurlock makes a great and stylistically hip and cool haunting documentary that gets a message across while being entertaining and thought provokingly fun.
But perhaps the most interesting aspect of the film is this daredevilish approach by the filmmaker, who literally invests body and soul for the sake of his experience. The thin line between madness and genius, in this instance, works in a most intriguing way.
