Review of Sunset Boulevard (1950) by Keith G — 06 Apr 2010
A movie loved by many but one that I believe has it's flaws. Holden and Swanson give good performances and it's dark, atmospheric filming adds a great feel to the movie. The film's story does seem to drag and plays a little too long.
Swanson's character, while played well, starts getting annoying after a while. It's a darker film and not for everyone's taste and while there are some high points in the movie, it's not as good as I hoped it would be.
