Billy Wilder's scathing noir comedy, features a landmark performance by Gloria Swanson. Who is almost matched by William Holden. Wilder makes fun of alot of Hollywood crapola and hypocrisy, but at the same time, offers fond bittersweet nostalgia for Hollywood's past.
