Review of Summer Hours (2008) by Iniva P — 18 Apr 2010
A modern classic, the film portrays three sibling as they deal with the estate and other possessions left behind by their dead mother. What I loved about this film is it had such a naturalistic feel to it.
It was slow paced and wordy which I like but the way it was shot and the actors performance just have an astonishing way of capturing the interactions of all in all a mundane family and their simple emotions of dealing with the loss of a loved one.
It's just one of those films that captures your attention but your not sure why has it is quite simplistic in nature.
