Ho-hum. Three stars is generous, but it's probably better than just two.
Deals with poignant and serious things yet still managed to avoid engaging my emotions. Was this intentional on the filmmaker's part? The characters all behaved admirably and were kind toward each other, which sadly strikes me as a little unrealistic, given the circumstances.
In any case, a fine movie. I guess. Just rather slow and unremarkable.
