Three adult children of Frederic (Charles Berling), Adrienne (Juliette Binoche) Jérémie (Jérémie Renier) and their children visit their mother for the very last time at their childhood home where they all grew up.
When the mother dies, they would then discuss how to divide up the house as well as the priceless property since only the eldest, Frederic lives nearby whereas his sister Adrienne lives in the US and his youngest brother is going to live overseas with connections to China.
