Well, for those of us who champion women empowerment, the storyline of this movie will make your blood boil...and to think that the sheer sacrifice, the emotional anguish, the gut-wrenching pain that some very brave women have gone through so that we can enjoy the rights and liberties that we have today...sigh...

From the technical and commercial aspects, though, Carey Mulligan heads the film all the way and Meryl Streep merely has a guest appearance. Helen Bonham-Carter was great as usual as were the supporting cast.

A grim film to put you in a politically reflective mood.
