Review of Suburban Girl (2007) by Tom S — 21 Feb 2008
I've really come to enjoy these smaller DVD releases... I started checking them out with Gray Matters and they have yet to disappoint. There's just a heart behind them that you don't find in big-budget, Hollywood rom-coms.
Specifically in this one, between the occasional spurt of poor editing (likely due to a lack of conversation coverage) conventions were defied and genuine emotions connected to the phase of life that I am in were touched on.
I recommend it to anyone who isn't embarrassed to rent a brightly colored DVD with a smiling Sarah Michelle Gellar on the front (I know I'm going to be hearing even more gay jokes at Blockbuster for liking this one).
