Review of Suburban Girl (2007) by Josh J — 15 Sep 2009
No better or worse than any other romantic comedy in recent memory.
Sarah Michelle Gellar is really what makes it worth watching. While she's not the finest actress of her generation, she does have two of the most expressive eyes I've ever seen. She manages to tell more of the story with just a look than any of the dialogue. Alec Baldwin, however, did his role no favors. He was supposed to be charming and disarming, though I found him to be snide and a bit sleazy.
In short, your opinion on this will largely rest with your opinion of the actors. If you like them, it will help immensely. If not, then seek an alternative.
