Review of Submarine (2011) by Enei200 — 04 Nov 2021
The movie is fantastic. It's over the top, which might not be everyone's piece of cake, but I think it did an amazing job. Oliver's problems can be reletable. His mistakes seem so intolerable to the point you might think that no sane human might make them, but as said, it's made to be like this, too over the top, too extreme.
His excessive thinking and ideas shows how he's not a perfect human and is capable of making huge mistakes. But the story is not only about him. His parent's story and Jordana's struggle kept me engaged as well.
The only downside I can think off is how abruptly the film ended. I felt there was a little bit more to tell. But perhaps it's for the better. Overall, it's an amazing movie with wonderful camera-work and dialogue.
It's something unique to watch.
