Review of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009) by Ed B — 14 Aug 2009

(one star is how good it is, but I like it about 3 stars ^^). Its really bad! but some bad movies are boring and you just cant watch it. this one.. I could watch the whole way through... Its like when you're driving and you see an accident on the side of the road.. you just cant help looking at it! It felt like that when I was watching it! Every single scene is bad! (except Chun Li dancing in the nightclub of course!). The dialogue is horrible! Chun Li's master.. every single line he says.. it sounds corny or cliche!

The plot doesnt make sense! You know in some movies.. there might be a plot hole or two.. and you think.. hmm why couldn't they have dont that? or something like that. In this movie... every scene is like that! It happens so much... its not really a plot hole any more. theres so many holes.. it becomes like a plot net! :) almost the entire time.. in my head I was thinking these four thoughts repeatedly:

"why are they doing this?".

"this is really bad".

"huh?".

"she's pretty good looking!".

Although I have to say, there were a few action scenes that I found quite entertaining. Also, my favourite part of the whole movie was Chris Klein's character, Charlie Nash. He's really good in this! His character seems... really... intense, slightly crazy and sleazy? something like that.. but he's definitely fun to watch... its hilarious! I really cant tell if he was trying to be a good actor or deliberately cheesing it up.. I cant tell.. which I think is why I like it so much :) I just wish he was in more of the scenes! If the movie was all about his character, it might have been an awesome movie ^^ ive never seen an actor act like this before. its so funny because everyone else is trying to be normal and he's... well... he really stands out :P.

I was going to rate it one star, but when I think about it.. I dont mind this movie :).
