Review of Straw Dogs (1971) by Clare N — 29 Dec 2007
Dustin Hoffman plus the ol' ultra violence? Count me in! The ever wonderful Hoffman plays a mathematician who has moved to a small English country town with his flirtatious wife and becomes subject to the taunting and pranks of the local larrikins.
The film's climax comes with Hoffman shedding his intellectual exterior to become a bloodthirsty animal out for revenge. One of a kind.
