Review of Straw Dogs (1971) by Brian S — 16 Jan 2018
Sam Peckinpah's Straw Dogs is a very slow-building and tense thriller, and I just loved it! Dustin Hoffman gives a strong performance and it's very interesting to see how a reserved man can become a brutal fighter.
It's quite violent for the early 70's, and it's a macho film too, buy that's what makes it a very suspenseful movie, especially when Dustin Hoffman sets up the traps. Overall, it's a great film and I definitely recommend it!!
