Review of Straw Dogs (1971) by Ana D — 19 Apr 2008
Bleak, depressing, mean-spirited & angry flick. Don't understand it's benefit to humanity? Effective perfs & direction (esp loved Peckinpah's characteristic slow-mo shots). Def not a film for everyone but an effective example of filmmaking nevertheless - it def spurs your emotions & hence a strong reaction.
