I left this Todd Solondz film for last because I was told over and over again that it was his worst.
What a lie! Here, he publically dissects exactly what he does as a filmmaker, slamming himself and the film up against the wall with an entire industry. The lines spoken by characters, ignorant and enlightened, meek and powerful alike, serve as a Rosetta Stone.
