Review of Stormbreaker (2006) by Andrew G — 01 Oct 2010
A major letdown I thought this might entail some harmless fun but sadly it was a chore to watch this movie. it had some clever ideas and a well chosen cast but did they really have to hammer down the over acting?
This was clearly the start of an ongoing series but sadly this ends with the first film. the lack of any real excitment really lets the film down I found myself looking at how long the film had to go a few times because it felt as though the film was running out of any ideas.
The idea was interesting the execution a major letdown, let this be a warning to any future filmmakers looking to create the next harry potter franchise. make some interesting stories and then make a movie that the audience may embrace a little better. this seems rushed and stale, read the books as I would imagine they may offer more enjoyment then this uninteresting film.
