Review of Still Alice (2014) by Movie R — 20 Feb 2015
Still Alice is a story of a linguistics professor named Alice, played by Julianne Moore, who finds out she has a form of Alzheimer's disease. The movie shows how it takes a toll on her and her family.
It is heartbreaking to see how it affects Alice because she values her intellect. Her family must find ways to connect and help her. Julianne Moore does a fantastic job showing how the disease impacts someone over time.
Kristen Stewart plays one of her daughter's and the movie does a good job showing their relationship. I thought the ending finished abruptly and the look of the movie was just okay. But that could be because of the source material.
I give it a 4/5.
