Review of Still Alice (2014) by Gina B — 22 Feb 2015
I was hoping to be very moved by this film especially with all the recognition Julianne Moore has received to date. It was a fine, low-key performance but I don't agree this is her best performance. Important to see Alzheimer's from the victim's pov but overall it lacked the power it could have been taken to. Scenes between Moore and Stewart is where the most emotion came across. The movie Away From Her is the most moving.
