Review of Still Alice (2014) by Riff R — 04 May 2015
"Still Alice" is an apt title. Drama genre lovers will like this.Alice Howland is diagnosed with Early - Onset Alzheimer's disease. This is very rare, especially for her age. It is all about the emotions of Alice and her family, it focuses on telling that we should how focus on how that person was and maintain those memories.
All that a person leaves behind is memories of who he/she was.You sometimes feel like the movie was going a tad too fast, and it does but I guess it had to,to cover a long span of time.Julianne Moore really good, she makes you really feel her struggle which is heartbreaking.
There are many scenes in the movie which make you really cry and choke on your own saliva. You feel sad for all the people with Alzheimers and their family. How a person starts forgetting people they have been close to all their life, forget their childrens name is scary.
