I can't believe it has taken me 19 years to see this movie. Thank you caffeine induced insomnia. Oldman, Penn and Harris are just absolutely brilliant in this movie. One of the most tense moments is when Harris is meeting the Italian across the street while the Irish thugs watch the clock.
Tick...tick...tick. Very good cinematography and direction. I am not sure if it is my favorite Irish mob movie but it is right up there with The Krays and The Departed. Southie is actually a decent mob flick too.
