Despite some decent action, some fun moments, and some really good special effects for its day...Starship Troopers can't help but being average. No more no less. It isn't THAT awful...it just never hooked me in.
The script is all over the place, and the tone and themes are mixed and never really explored to their full potential. I didn't hate it, but it really didn't thrill me.
