Review of Starship Troopers (1997) by David E — 11 Jan 2014
"Starship Troopers": another great sci-fi film by Paul Verhoeven (who also directed "Robocop" & "Total Recall", respectively) that has some "Robocop" deja vu in terms of commercialism/propaganda (which is featured in certain parts of this film & keeps the viewer interested).

Acting: Even though the acting is so cheesy or overdone, it's laughable, it does have potential because (to me) the actors give the feeling as if they were really fighting those alien bugs, especially when it comes to training to learn & kill them.

Effects & Story: With tons of gunfire & several explosions, outstanding goriness, neat futuristic/planet settings, cool visual effects, & a great plotline that puts everything together, "Starship Troopers" is one of the best sci-fi films ever.
*clicks "EXIT" option*.
