Review of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989) by James H — 11 May 2009
Jealous of Leonard Nimoy's success as director of the two previous installments, Shatner takes the directors' helm and makes a muddled mess of things. Spock's half brother takes control of the Enterprise and goes to the edge of the galaxy and the viewer's patience.
There are some terribly unfunny moments (the whole first half hours, for starters) and some very poor special effects in what is tied with Insurrection as the worst of the series.
