Review of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989) by James M — 09 Feb 2014
Easily the weakest entry into the Star Trek franchise. The story isn't too bad, but the execution is terrible. William Shatner directed himself and jumped at the chance to make it his own personal ego trip.
The special effects are laughably poor, but what's worse is the performance of Shatner himself (and his stunt double).
