Review of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989) by Matthew D — 10 May 2016
After the excellent "trilogy" of Star Trek II, III and IV, William Shatner gets the directors chair and almost destorys the franchise with the absolutely brutal Star Trek V - The Final Frontier.
It's not just the laughable premise, the pathetic script, the main villain being "God", Vulcan's laughing, the age of the cast showing horribly, the ship falling apart, way too much use of rocket boots.
..well actually its all of these things and a whole lot more. This is a horrible film and was a sign that things were coming to the end for the original cast.
