Review of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989) by Jeff H — 10 May 2009
In spite of this movie's terrible reputation, I've always loved it's canon-defying plot and theological musings. The Enterprise being highjacked by an evangelical Vulcan was a neat premise, and the scene in which Kirk interrogates and shoots phasers at "God" is still one of my favorite moments in any movie.
"What does God need with a starship?" Indeed...
