While still the worst of the Star Trek films, The Final Frontier (directed and written by William Shatner) features a few comedic highlights (i.e. Scotty breaking Kirk, Spock, and McCoy out of the brig, etc.
), but has a weak plot (Spock's half-brother stealing the Enterprise to search for God? Really?) and some awkward scenes (Uhura's fan dance, for example). Shatner should just stick to "acting.
".
