Review of Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) by John W — 06 Apr 2014

While no doubt this is exciting non-stop sci-fi action and adventure, this new addition to the ST universe is missing the heart and thoughtfulness of all that came before it. The franchise was built on thought provoking story and the action stemmed from that, not the other way around with action at the fore and story tucked in behind, and in spite of its larger-than-life sights and sounds, Into Darkness suffers from that.
