Review of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984) by Caleb G — 22 Aug 2008
The middle of the golden trilogy of directly continuous Star Trek movies. It is highly anomalous for Trek that Kirstie Ally didn't reprise her role when asked, but screw her anyway. This movie gets strange in places, and out of a necessity to resurrect Spock, certain aspects of fundamental Vulcan existence had to be fleshed-out and tailored to the cause, but those details have borne out well over the long run.
Forget the Star Trek Movie rule of Odds and Evens. I liked this one.
