Review of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984) by Nick R — 13 Nov 2008
Better than you'd suspect if you give up trying to compare this to ST II...ST II is superior in every possible way, and its clear that some scenes are simply intended to revisit some of the emotional peaks experienced in its immediate predecessor, but darned if Shatner doesn't do some fine acting in response to another tragedy befalling Kirk, and the battle scenes with the Birds of Prey look geeky cool.
