Review of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984) by Danielle T — 15 Jan 2009
I'm a big fan of this one.
It's when Star Trek finally left the TV series behind, and became about the characters. The show, honestly, was about the ship. The cast could've come and gone, and the show adapted to new crewmembers...
But it's this film that says, we're not about that ship, we're about these people. Sure, they make that point fairly obviously and directly, but I applaud the result.
Christopher lloyd is fantastic as the Klingon Kruge, and I love the questions raised by the final results of the Genesis project.
Quite fond of this.
