In Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, the film follows right after the second one when the gang comes back home, Spock-less and saddened by the loss, until Kirk (Shatner again) realizes that Spock's (Nimoy again, who also makes his debut as film director) soul still lives on, physically on the new Genesis planet and mentally within Dr.

Bones (Kelley again). With that, the gang is forced to hijack the Enterprise ship and flee the Starship base as fugitives as they head to the Genesis planet, where trouble has already began in the form of Klingons destroying a science ship and heading down to the planet where they take hostage Kirk's son (Merritt Butrick returning), Lt.

Saavik (now played by Robin Curtis instead of the original, Kirstie Alley), and Spock (in child form). Leading the Klingon's is good ole Christopher Lloyd (Doc from the Back to the Future films). Can the gang save Spock.

Well...of course they do! I mean, c'mon, there are still several sequels after this. Everyone is back in their infamous roles, though, in 1984, everyone is starting to show their age, yet they all still manage to turn in some fine performances in this second sequel that manages to not suffer the dreaded part 3 curse by managing to actually be a good movie, though not quite as epic as part 2.

Still, another great chapter in the series that has me craving for more.
