Review of Star Trek: First Contact (1996) by Calvin D — 06 May 2009
This movie is certainly the best Trek film since Wrath of Khan, and it even manages to be a prime example of great Space Opera. The storyline is one of the most engaging, especially Picard's struggle with the Borg which showcases Patrick Stewart's fantastic acting skills.
The time travel storyline utilises Star Trek lore and creates truly entertaining moments, largely due to James Cromwell's memorable performance as Zefram Cochrane. Let it never be said that Stewart sold out when he did Star Trek.
Rather, he immortalised himself when he did Star Trek.
