Apart from being the best Trek (Khan quivers in the corner) it is an amazing character study particularly with the Picard/ Data story arc. Great CG work (save one shot). An amazing musical score. And the character interaction is extremely rich.
At the end of the movie you really do feel the core emotions and ambitions behind Trek.
