Review of Star Trek: First Contact (1996) by Dann M — 22 Apr 2013
Resistance is futile. Star Trek: First Contact is a terrifying and thrilling adventure that pits the crew of the Enterprise against their greatest nemesis, the Borg. When the Borg, a race of "bionic zombies" time-travel to late 21st century Earth in an attempt to prevent humanity's first contact with alien life, the Enterprise must follow them back and prevent the timeline from being altered.
The cast is in top form and deliver excellent performances. Additionally, the special effects are quite good and enhance the look and feel of the film. Intense and action-packed, Star Trek: First Contact is an impressive science fiction thriller, and the best of the Next Generation films.
