Stunning visual (now we see why Justin Lin was brought in) but an old and somewhat disappointing plot. Star Trek Beyond tells a familiar tale since the newest reboot but tells it in a way CGI has never allowed it until now.
Sit back and relax, don't think too hard about the plot, and you'll be enjoying yourself in this CGI-created world for 120mins.
