Reboots are the modern hollywood fad, almost every movie has one done now. batman, spiderman, superman and then came the star trek movie reboot, with most of the original cast either to old or dead. a young fresh approach had to be taken, what we are given is a new slant on star trek but with a familiar take.

Chris Pine is excellent as the ever cocky younger kirk, Zachary Quinto does a fine reincartion of spock and something about Karl Urban was born to be Bones McCoy. You can't help but enjoy this movie, its nothing to deep to think about, just stick it in your blu ray player and let it happen.

Its extremely enjoyable and a pleasant surprise after how the next generation movies bored people half to death.
