Review of Standard Operating Procedure (2013) by Andrew C — 27 Sep 2009
Disturbing look back at Abu Ghriab.
Standard Operating Procedure (2008) - 6.4/10.
Director - Errol Morris.
The despicable acts that occurred at Abu Ghriab are the focus of this documentary by award-winning filmmaker Errol Morris.
A disturbing look back at the infamous Abu Ghriab prison photos and the people behind them. It's an interesting film but I'm not sure it sheds any new light on the incident. That said Errol Morris does inject a certain visual flair rarely seen in documentaries. A good documentary but not among his best.
