Amazing movie - totally blew me away!

Although i'm a big fan of war movies and I have watched a lot of them, not one have made me laugh like this one - and I mean in good way. it shows how the troops were innovative in such circumstances and made genious plots to fool nazis, and also fun games for themselves. for that kind of joking it has several funny characters, but when it's needed it managed to be also serious, because it was meant to be war drama, and that it is - with just a flavor of comedy. overal: great storytelling, strong and variable characters and its kinda fictional (?) but still historic events made it a masterpiece in my list. Droppen Sie Dead!! :D.

I just realised that Hart's War was almost like a remake of this..
