Review of Bananas (2006) by Massimo B — 20 Jun 2011
Woody Allen's Bananas comedy from 1971 is not one of his funiest films, it's rattle more childish than all his other work. This time it's the story about Fielding (Allen) who is joining the resistance moment in the latin american country called San Marcos, so he can win back his left-wing girlfriend Nancy (Louise Lasser).
Woody Allen is not the smart guy that we will see of him later, and that makes it less worth then the others. It's full of jokes that we have heard before. The slapstick humor is quiet acceptable, and I love all the satire in this film.
I Wish I chould say that I loved it. Thumbs Down.
