Review of Stage Fright (1950) by C. B — 20 Sep 2008
 Thumbs up for this funny, fun Hitchcock film that I hadn't even heard of until recently. Though it jumps right into the plot, it's just o.k.-- standard fare for about 10 minutes -- until Commodore Gill (Alastair Sim) appears on screen.
Suddenly, the humor and sparkle emerge. The addition of Michael Wilding moves gives you more to care about. 84%. Holds the interest. Some cute bits and plot devices.
