Review of Stage Door (1937) by John W — 10 Oct 2008
This is a classic. Women who would become stars later in life come together at a Boarding School for aspiring young actesses. The drama is magnificent, the jokes are endless, the desperation palpable and the chemistry unbeatable.
I can watch this movie over and over because it is so well done. As an aspiring actor at one time myself I have fealt this type of angst and hopefulness and sometimes despair. You have to see it to actually believe.
