Review of Stage Door (1937) by Kent E — 28 Feb 2009
A really thin story, and not a Great film, but one packed with legendary actresses in their early careers. The quality of the comedy far outweighs the melodrama, and Kate Hepburn in the leading role, pulls off both effortlessly, but Ginger Rogers has most of the great lines.
Top rate support from Eve Arden, and Ann Miller in her first screen role.
