Review of St. Elmo's Fire (1985) by John H — 30 Jun 2013
Essentially a "Breakfast Club 2", this had all the trappings of a stereotypical 80's film. Saxophone music, drugs and random sex, Andie MacDowell. But what's probably more frightening about this movie is that you could almost make the same movie today, shot-for-shot (sans the saxophone music, of course) and replace the characters with overprivileged hipsters .
. . even down to the scene where they're splitting up the vinyl.
