Robert Rodriguez probably wasn't the best choice to direct this movie (the film too often seems like a kiddie version of his pulpier films, which is not the right tone). Notwithstanding, the loony "Spy Kids" is an enjoyable diversion, with entertaining set pieces and fun performances.
