Review of Spy Game (2001) by Brenton T — 05 Jul 2008
People here cheered about "Infernal Affairs" was adapted by The Departed, which went on to win Oscars. Instead, I find the former has borrowed many ideas from Spy Game, most notably the dynamics and tensions between Muir (Robert Redford) and Bishop (Brad Pitt).
The portrait of the two main characters were mirrored in IA's Superintendent Wong and his spy, Chan. The roof scenes, regarded by many as the signature of IA, were actually imitating that of Tony Scott's.
