Review of Spy Game (2001) by Dann M — 08 Apr 2016
It's a Tony Scott film, therefore, you know for a fact that it's going to be a visually stylish film with some genuinely thrilling moments. It's a well-crafted espionage thriller with an interesting, if not implausible, plot, and both Redford and Pitt seem like they are having a lot of fun.
My main problem with the film is that I didn't really care about what's going on with the characters. The film is all about the surface, and although there is nothing wrong with having good surface and the action is fun to watch, I wish there was more solid character development.
Spy Game is kinetic and enjoyable, but it's utterly forgettable.
