THIS is what The Big Short could have been . . but . . . was NOT for purely political reasons.
Imagine Spotlight without unqualifiedly right and proper references to homosexual pedophilia by Roman Catholic priests . . . well . . . THAT is what The Big Short was without right and proper references to Clinton/Dodd/Frank forcing American financial institutions to loan to objectively NOT creditworthy borrowers.
Spotlight's cast was highlighted by typically outstanding performance by Liev Schreiber, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton and Stanley Tucci and Len Cariou.
Tight script coupled with outstanding directing and superb editing . . . Spotlight is a winner. Buy it . . . see it . . . collect it for future reference of what GREAT semi-documentary can be.
